Rose’s and Forget-Me-Not flowers form this beautiful lyre wreath designed just for Academy students. The focus for this 2 day workshop is careful prep work for perfect appliqué results; the workshop is designed for all skill levels and will introduce you to new techniques. Learn my “Off the Block” prepared edge freezer paper appliqué techniques and build your appliqué directly on the pattern. We’ll also learn how to take any size “Perfect Bias Stems”, reverse appliqué, sharp points, and perfect circles, smooth concave and convex shapes. Great class for the beginner.

Appliqué Fabric Requirements:
All appliqué shapes can be made from 8” x 8” squares.
Bow & bud flowers - light and dark purple
Rose’s – 2 dark red, med pink & light pink
Forget-me-not Flowers – light blue, med blue & dark blue
Berries & Flowers Centers – light gold & dark gold
Leaves – lt. green, 2 med greens, dark green & very dark green
Stems – cut (2) ½” x 20” strip bias each light & dark green

Color Guide
- Mini iron & ironing mat ( I like June Taylor Cut n Press I )
- Appliqué Stiletto and Appliqué Pressing Tool
- Appliqué Template Paper or Freezer Paper ½ yard
- Fiskar small Curved Scissors for cutting freezer paper templates
- Sharp fabric scissors
- Roxanne’s Glue Baste It
- Spray Starch and small container
- ¼” stencil brush
- Small rotary cutter & mat (5 ½” x 8 ½ “) or your favorite size
- Pencil
- Straw Needle #11 or your favorite appliqué needle
- Jeanna Kimball Embroidery Needle #11 or your favorite needle
- Thimble
- Your favorite appliqué thread to match fabrics, I like DMC 50 wt or YLI Silk threads
1. Prewash background fabric and iron.
2. Cut 18” x 18” square with pinking rotary blade.
