The focus for this class is careful prep work for perfect appliqué results; the class is designed for all skill levels and will introduce you to new techniques. Learn Pearl’s prepared edge freezer paper appliqué techniques how to make any size “Perfect Bias Stems”, sharp points, concave and convex shapes (for hand appliqué or machine appliqué). If you love hand appliqué or machine appliqué this is the class for you.

Fabric Requirements:
1/2 yard lt background fabric
3/4 yard dk blue for 1st border and binding
1/4 yard red for flowers, scallop and circles
1/2 yard lt blue for 2nd border
10" squares assorted fabric squares for applique
Optional Supplies:
Pinking Rotary Cutter – great for cutting your blocks, pinked edge controls the fraying.

Miracle Ironing Mat – reflect the heat and speeds up the ironing prep.
¼” piece of form core board – cut 3” larger than the block size.
Threads:
I use YLI #100 Silk Thread or DMC 50 wt fine machine embroidery thread to match the appliqué fabrics.
Notes: Optional Fabric Kit $ 45.00 Fabrics will be as close as possible to the original project.
