Take a trip with me as I show you 25 of my quilts. We’ll start at the beginning and end with my newest design. As we travel down the road of quilts I’ll share the ups and downs of being a teacher, pattern designer, and creating a business out of my love for quilting.

Workshop March 12, 2010

This will be a surprise for everyone who attends the workshop. I will premier one of my new quilt block for my new pattern "Baltimore Christmas" pattern which will be released in May 2010. Supply list and photo of the selected block will be available at the end of January 2010.

Supply List

Each student must have their own iron, ironing mat and electrical extension.

Equipment:

Pencil

 

Small Craft Iron

Ultra Fine point Black Sharpie

Ironing mat

Ultimate Appliqué template Paper

Spray Starch and small container

Fiskar Small Curved Scissors for paper

¼” stencil Brush

Fabric scissors (your favorite)

P3 Designs Appliqué Stiletto

Roxanne’s Glue Baste It

P3 Designs Appliqué Pressing Tool

Aleene’s Ok To Wash It glue

¼” Clover Bias Maker

P3 Designs Straw needles # 11

Thread Heaven

P3 Designs Petite Needle Threader

Rotary Cutter (your favorite)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Optional Supplies:
Pinking Rotary Cutter – great for cutting your blocks, pinked edge controls the fraying.
June Taylor Teflon Pressing sheet
Miracle Ironing Mat – reflect the heat and speeds up the ironing prep.
¼” piece of form core board – cut 3” larger than the block size

Threads:
I use YLI #100 Silk Thread or DMC 50 wt fine machine embroidery thread to match the appliqué fabrics.

Fabric Requirements:
 
13 1/2" square light background  
   
Fat Quarters:  
Red for candy canes Brown for ginger breadman
Red for berries Dark Green for holly leaves
White for candy canes Med Green for holly leaves
Dark Gold for bow Lt Green for leaves
Med for bow Blue for package
Red for packages Lt Purple for package
Tan for lollypop sticks Gold for stars
Green for package  

Notes:
To make the entire quilt you will need to 5 1/2 yards of background fabric.
