Lily workshop is for all skill level from the student who wants to learn appliqué, the student who has tried appliqué and did not like appliqué to the intermediate/advanced student who wants to learn a fresh new approach. The focus for this class is careful prep work for perfect appliqué results; the class is designed for all skill levels and will introduce you to new techniques.

Each student must have their own iron, ironing mat and electrical extension.

Ultra Fine point Black Sharpie

Ironing mat

Ultimate Appliqué template Paper

Spray Starch and small container

Fiskar Small Curved Scissors for paper

¼” stencil Brush

Fabric scissors (your favorite)

Roxanne’s Glue Baste It

P3 Designs Appliqué Pressing Tool

Aleene’s Ok To Wash It glue

¼” Clover Bias Maker

Rotary Cutter (your favorite)

Optional Supplies:

Pinking Rotary Cutter – great for cutting your blocks, pinked edge controls the fraying.

 June Taylor Teflon Pressing sheet

Miracle Ironing Mat – reflect the heat and speeds up the ironing prep.

¼” piece of form core board – cut 3” larger than the block size

Threads:

I use YLI #100 Silk Thread or DMC 50 wt fine machine embroidery thread to match the appliqué fabrics.
